|An Ottawa native, Mike is recognized for being able to move large crowds, his impeccable mixing abilities and his love for a "harder" sound. He first appeared in the scene in 1990, where he held a residency in the region's first "house music" oriented club, CHEZ HENRI, on the Hull (Quebec, Canada) bar strip. In 1996, Mike turned his interest to radio. He created and hosted several radio shows on CHUO-FM, 89.1 (UNDERGROUND FM, HOUSEFUL FRIDAYS, SONAR) to name a few.
In 1999 came the residency at ILLUSIONS (Ottawa, Canada) afterhours. In 2000, Mike also teamed up with SERGE and KID SL as part of FULL FORCE productions and headlined at all their major events (RADIOHYPE, THRILLER)... Around the same time, he began hosting a night at THE WELL (Ottawa, Canada). People from the industry came to call it their home on Sundays. The focus of this night was to help new, fresh talent get a chance to be recognized. Mike was also instrumental in creating a monthly fundraiser named XVI SUNDAYS at...[read more]|
|Tarek was molested as a child and left scarred for life???.by music that is. As far back as he can remember, Tarek had always been making mix tapes and embarking on endless musical expeditions in search of the perfect sound. As other explorers, he trekked through different musical terrains; rock, rap, reggae, electronica amongst many and used these experiences to conjure up his own unique sound that could make even a dead man dance. His influences are as diverse as The Wu Tang Clan, Radiohead, Tool, Pearl Jam, James Holden, James Zabiela, Adam Freeland, Evil Nine, Sven Vath to Bob Marley and Black Uhuru.
Having exhibited his sound at various venues and parties including Exxotika (we wish it was a strip club), Tarek has been able to adapt to craft his sets like a true chameleon, championing his own style while holding the crowd by the balls ? figuratively. As a truly versatile DJ, his listener?s ears are always surprised by the cunning and sharp mixing skills.

|Emaad Sami (aka Pakman) has been spinning tunes since 1998. And yes, the [music] force has always been strong with this one. In fact, as a little menace he always got into shit for snappishly cranking up the volume in his parents car when they would be driving, posing an unexpected hazard to other drivers on the road.
Early days musical interests included The Beastie Boys, 2Pac, The Smashing Pumpkins, Limp Bizkit, The Red Hot Chili Peppers, and embarrassingly Scatman John and uhhum The Backstreet Boys. Moving on??
His parents work allowed him to travel the world in his teen years; Emaad has lived in Pakistan, England, Canada and South Africa. It was really in South Africa, where Emaad really started to develop his sound. Electronic music pursuits were sparked by Emaad?s attendance at his very first rave at a shady factory in downtown Johannesburg, quite possibly the easiest place to get murdered in under 10 seconds. But alas, the 3 story high speakers blasting sweet sweet bass...[read more]|
|It was until Andr?Velilla moved to Miami that he discovered and fell in love with the electronic music. He was 15 when he was at a friend?s house and heard his friend?s brother put up some Trance beats. At this time Miami was all about Trance. It was then that he bought an all in one CD mixer, and started to mix at his house and friends parties.
By going at least once a week to the famous club Shadow Lounge, where George Acosta was the resident, and big international DJs like Taucher, Talla 2XLC, BT, and many more went there to drop their Trance beats, influenced a lot Andres. But it was only until Andr?moved to Paris that he discovered House Music. Slowly but surely, he transcended from trance to house and its sub-genres. He started to spin at private parties, from there getting discovered by other people, who helped him get some gigs at the WAGG, La Pe?Backup, Cosi and Franprix and other small Parisian bars.
When Andres finally moved to Montr?, he again started to mix...[read more]|
|Drawn into the folds of the electronic music world at the tender age of fourteen, M. Fawzy began enjoying the sounds of trance and techno. What started out as a hobby, soon developed into a way of life. His love for the music went deeper and his talent was quickly discovered and developed.
Moving to Canada's Capital City, Ottawa, Ontario when he was 18 gave him the opportunity he was looking for. Blending his style with trance, hard trance, techno and progressive house he quickly made a name for himself in the tight knit community.
By the time he had turned 20, he had secured himself a weekly Friday night residency alongside two of his very close friends, Mikey Siorek and Danny K at an intimate little venue in the heart of the city called The Umbrella Room. It's the place to be on Friday nights!
2004 for Mo has been eventful and fun filled. He opened for local superstars Ryan Dunlop and Joe Jaurez @ Ottawa's premiere After-hours, Surface Night Club.
2004 also saw M....[read more]|
