||Underground Muzik + Biotechnology, the odd formula that explains the birth of Bioground, aiming to spread the music of Portuguese producer Luis Novo as far as he possibly can.|
Growing up under the influence of the 80's elektro pop sound, Luis soon began to feel attracted by the work of pioneers like Vangelis, Kraftwerk, Jean Michel Jarre or Tangerine Dream. Recently his admiration goes further to producers such as Jean Frank Cochois, Jay Denes, Sven Van Hees or Vladislav Delay.
Through the alias Bioground, Luis Novo seeks to release his wide range of skills, never restricted to a certain style of sound, delivering atmospheric lounge, silky deep tech tunes or uplifting sonic house.
Currently working for a large number of imprints from all over the world, Bioground is linked with Matthew Dekay's DKhouse, Plastic City for which he produced his debut album "Love Addiction" or Eric Kupper's Hysteria Records, to name a few.
Bioground's success as producer is complemented by his djing skills, that made him share booths and stages with names like Faithless, SONO, Xpress2, Thievery Corporation or Gus Gus amongst many others.
2006 sets the launch of his own record labels, Exquisite Music and Vivid Trax, where Luis targets to release from deep to peaktime club house.
