It was until Andr?Velilla moved to Miami that he discovered and fell in love with the electronic music. He was 15 when he was at a friend?s house and heard his friend?s brother put up some Trance beats. At this time Miami was all about Trance. It was then that he bought an all in one CD mixer, and started to mix at his house and friends parties.
By going at least once a week to the famous club Shadow Lounge, where George Acosta was the resident, and big international DJs like Taucher, Talla 2XLC, BT, and many more went there to drop their Trance beats, influenced a lot Andres. But it was only until Andr?moved to Paris that he discovered House Music. Slowly but surely, he transcended from trance to house and its sub-genres. He started to spin at private parties, from there getting discovered by other people, who helped him get some gigs at the WAGG, La Pe?Backup, Cosi and Franprix and other small Parisian bars.
When Andres finally moved to Montr?, he again started to mix at private parties, and some parties for McGill University. On the summer of 2005, he had a couple of gigs at the Italian restaurant Pino on Crescent Street. Around November of 2005, Andres had an offer to spin at Myst Supperclub. He agreed to take the job, and that gave him the residency until the opening of Myst Lounge. Then transferred to Myst Lounge he was mixing every Saturday night and had the privilege to open for several international DJs on Thursday nights, such as Oscar G. Cevin Fisher, David Penn, Doc Martin, Behrouz, DJ Cue, Stephan Luke, DJ Deep, and George Morel. It was here in Montreal that Andr?started to make his own style. In the summer of 2006, he got the opportunity to Mix at one of Bogot? most prestigious night club, El Cha Cha, for the first time Andres was able to Mix in his home Country. And now Andres is back in Montr? ready to continue his passionate adventure in the world of electronic music.
